The Academic Achievers Banquet is an annual event to honor outstanding academic young people from the 13 area public and private high schools (3 from each school). This event has become a very important program of the chamber; and this year, the chamber hopes to award six young scholars each a $1,000 scholarship.  The 39 students are honored at a banquet which is attended by their parents, school administrators and local dignitaries.  Sponsorships enable the Chamber to increase the number of scholarships given and to help underwrite the cost of the banquet.
