Museum of American Frontier Culture

Exit 222 I-81. An open-air museum consisting of 4 authentic farms-Appalachian, Irish, English & German, dating from as far back as 1688—dismantled, reconstructed & filled with authentic furnishings & tools.     Shenandoah Caverns, New Market, Open year round, free parking, picnic grounds with a splendid view of the valley, it famous apple orchards and the north fork of the Shenandoah River. Lodge, gift shop of antiques and memorabilia, US Post Office, Coffee shop, American celebrations on parade. We are the only Caverns in Virginia with an elevator.
